Finalist – 1010 Wins Small Business Grant Challenge

In late September, SPACES entered the 1010 WINS Small Business Grant Challenge hosted by former Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services and current host of WINS’ Bottom Line For Small Business, Robert Walsh. You can view the live video of the competition here:

The contest derives of many different businesses led by entrepreneurs of different backgrounds coming together to present to a panel of judges. The contest looks for compelling businesses or business ideas that can demonstrate a positive impact on the community.

Sourabh and Allison Sen, both of whom come from an energy renewal background, came together with the idea for SPACES to help drivers reduce the amount of time spent looking for parking and help lower the percentage of traffic congestion. The SPACES technology platform is here to bridge the gap between the driver and the garages in order to bring forward a more efficient parking process.

After being reviewed by a panel of judges amongst 50 other entries, SPACES was chosen to be one of the top 10 finalists that impressed the judges. Although they did not win the competition, SPACES left an impression to the viewers and attendants of the competition with their revolutionary, all-in-one parking solution.
